This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.
Sunday brings a light day of action in the NBA with only three games on the schedule. While there are only six teams playing, plenty of stars will be taking the floor as the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans are all in action. Let's take a look at what players you want to pair with those stars to make money on DraftKings.
Guards
Dennis Schroder, ATL at BKN ($7,700): The Hawks are in full rebuild mode, leaving Schroder as one of the most talented players on their roster. A focal point of their offense, Schroder has scored at least 36.8 DraftKings points in both games so far this season. The Nets have allowed at least 121 points in both games so far this season, so look for Schroder to have a big performance Sunday.
Lonzo Ball, LAL vs. NO ($6,900): Ball had a rough first game against the Los Angeles Clippers as he only scored three points, but most players are going to struggle when Patrick Beverley is defending them. Ball fell one assist shy of a triple-double in his last game against the Suns, a terrible defensive team. Expect him to fall somewhere in the middle of those two performances Sunday, making him a valuable option at this price.
Taurean Prince, ATL at BKN ($5,300): Prince has moved into a starting role this season, but has failed to play at least 30 minutes in either game so far. He has been productive in limited minutes though as he is averaging 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. At this cheap price, Prince has the potential to put up valuable numbers against a bad Nets defense.
Forwards
DeMarcus Cousins, NO at LAL ($10,400): Cousins has been dominant through two games this season, scoring at least 58.5 DraftKings points in both contests. Not only is he scoring and rebounding extremely well, but he also has seven blocks and four steals already. The Lakers frontcourt is weak, so expect Cousins to put up a monster performance Sunday.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN vs. ATL ($5,100): While he may not be a flashy name, Hollis-Jefferson is averaging 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks in two games this season. He's starting this year on a bad Nets team and while he has always had the ability to contribute defensive numbers, the scoring increase is what has brought him onto the fantasy radar. Give him a look Sunday.
John Collins, ATL at BKN ($4,000): Collins is one of the young players with excellent potential for the Hawks. He flashed that potential in the first game of the season against the Dallas Mavericks as he scored 14 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals. Foul trouble limited him to only five points and two rebounds over 15 minutes in his last game against the Charlotte Hornets. This is a solid matchup against the Nets, so taking a flier on Collins at this cheap price has the potential to pay off.
Centers
Anthony Davis, NO at LAL ($10,600): Like Cousins, Davis has been dominant up front for the Pelicans as he has scored at least 57.0 DraftKings points in both games this season. The only concerns that center around Davis are with injuries, but that's not an issue in DFS at this time. Start him with confidence against the Lakers.
Brook Lopez, LAL vs. NO ($6,200): Lopez has been excellent for the Lakers so far this season, averaging 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.5 three-pointers per game. With Ball creating open looks for him, Lopez could really thrive in Los Angeles. Expect him to help lead their offense and put up another valuable stat line Sunday.
Dewayne Dedmon, ATL at BKN ($4,900): The Nets defense is so bad that there are a lot of cheap players on the Hawks that could produce Sunday. Dedmon is one of those players as he enters Sunday scoring at least 23.3 DraftKings points in both games this season. If you need to save money at center, Dedmon is a great option.
