DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Saturday brings plenty of options for your DraftKings entry as there are eight games on the NBA schedule. With so many players to choose from, let's dive right in and see where you can gain the advantage.

Guards

C.J McCollum, POR vs. PHO ($7,500): McCollum is off to a great start this season as he is currently averaging career highs in points (25.0), rebounds (4.8) and three-pointers (3.0) per game. He is given plenty of opportunities to score as he has attempted at least 18 shots in three of his four games so far. The Suns are playing better since their atrocious start to the season, but they are still going to have a hard time with McCollum Saturday.

Jrue Holiday, NO vs. CLE ($6,900): Holiday has struggled with his shot, shooting only 37.9% from the field this season. He hasn't shot lower than 43.1% in a season for his career, so don't expect him to keep this up for much longer. He showed signs of life Thursday against the Sacramento Kings as he scored 20 points (7-13 FG) to go along with four rebounds and seven assists. Look for him to continue to right the ship with a productive game against the Cavaliers, especially if Anthony Davis (knee) sits again.

Tyreke Evans, MEM vs. HOU ($4,700): Evans has been a solid contributor off the bench for the Grizzlies as he is averaging 23.4 DraftKings points per game. Although he's only playing 23 minutes per game, he's still averaging 12.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers. The Grizzlies are going to need all the offense they can get to keep up with the Rockets, making Evans a nice value play.

Forwards

Blake Griffin, LAC vs. DET ($9,600): Griffin has been consistently excellent as the unquestioned leader of the Clippers this season, averaging 47.7 DraftKings points per game. Not only is he averaging a career high 26.3 points per game, but his 9.3 rebounds per game would be his highest average since the 2013-14 season. Don't expect the Pistons to be able to slow him down Saturday.

James Johnson, MIA vs. BOS ($6,600): While not a flashy name, Johnson provides excellent all-around production as he is averaging 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. He's taken on a more prominent role with Hassan Whiteside (knee) sidelined, which will continue with Whiteside out again Saturday. Get Johnson in your lineup.

Al-Farouq Aminu, POR vs. PHO ($5,100): Like McCollum, Aminu is also off to a great start as he is averaging career highs in points (10.6), rebounds (9.4), steals (1.8) and three-pointers (2.0) per game. With teams having to focus on McCollum, Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic, Aminu has been able to fly under the radar and put up valuable numbers. He's a nice value play in this matchup against a bad Suns team.

Centers

Rudy Gobert, UTA vs. LAL ($7,900): Gobert has picked right up where he left off last season, entering Saturday averaging 14.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. He is coming off of his best game of the season Wednesday against the Suns where he scored 16 points to go along with 14 rebounds and five blocks. Brook Lopez is not going to be able to keep Gobert off the boards, so get ready for a big performance.

Robin Lopez, CHI vs. OKC ($5,800): Lopez has been known as a role player for much of his career, providing defense and solid rebounding. On a Bulls team that has a severe lack of talent, Lopez has been thrust into more offensive responsibilities this season. He has not disappointed, averaging 15.3 points per game. He's still providing plenty of rebounds and blocks as well, making him a nice play at this price Saturday.

Tristan Thompson, CLE at NO ($4,000): Thompson has moved back into the starting lineup after the Cavaliers experimented with Kevin Love starting at center to begin the season. They are going to really need his size and defensive ability to try and slow down DeMarcus Cousins Saturday. While you shouldn't expect big numbers from Thompson, he can produce enough to provide value at this cheap price.
