It's a weird Wednesday as there are slates of baseball at 4:05 p.m. EDT and 6:35 p.m. EDT. Let's look at some picks for the early slate. Check back for picks for late slate.
Pitching
Blake Snell, SD vs. SF ($9,800) - There's nothing wrong with paying up for Blake Snell given he should surpass his time on the mound from his first outing and qualify for both the quality start and win. Even without both of those he still recorded 38 fantasy points in his first outing. This is a good matchup also for the southpaw.
Top Targets
Rhys Hoskins, PHI vs NYM ($3,700) - Hoskins is off to a hot start hitting .368 and will be home facing a left-handed pitcher. Hoskins has a career .384 wOBA against left-handed pitching for his career making this a good matchup.
J.T. Realmuto, PHI vs NYM ($3,500) - Might I be hinting for a Phillies stack here? Realmuto is at a position of scarcity and has a career .336 against left-handed pitching. That's really good for a catcher, especially one who should be hitting in an RBI spot for the Phillies.
Value Bats
Jake Lamb, CWS at SEA ($2,000) - Here's a great spot to punt and spend up at the other positions. Lamb is off to a slow start but is batting second and has a great matchup in Seattle against Justin Dunn. If he hits double-digit fantasy points he'll more than make his value given his price.
