Roberto Fernandez
23-Year-Old
Espanyol
La Liga
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Fernandez spent the second half of last season on loan with Espanyol, and was the starter from the minute he touched down in Catalunya. He scored six goals on loan and earned a permanent move to the club. He has an early edge on the starting job, though he does face some competition from new signing Kike, who scored 13 goals in La Liga last season. It's possible Fernandez could slot next to Kike if Espanyol revert to a 4-4-2 they used earlier in the season. Fernandez has some upside, though his value comes almost exclusively from goals and shots, as he created just eight chances in his 19 appearances and offers little elsewhere as well.

Seals permanent move to Espanyol
Fernandez has agreed to a permanent deal with Espanyol until the end of the 2030/31 season, the club announced Friday.
ANALYSIS
The striker impressed during a loan spell in the second half of the 2024/25 season, bagging six goals across 19 appearances for Los Pericos. There was mutual interest from both parties to complete a reunion over the summer, and Fernandez is expected to play a significant role upfront for Espanyol in the 2025/26 campaign.
