Giannoulis suffered a knock in his ribs during Saturday's 0-0 draw against Bremen but will have time to recover from the issue since he received his fifth yellow card in the Bundesliga and will miss the first game of the year against Gladbach, coach Manuel Baum said in a press conference. "Dimi was involved in a collision on the opposite side in the first half. He took an elbow to the ribs and then had difficulty breathing. In the second half, he said he couldn't continue, so we substituted him."
