PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
STRIKER
Ayoze Perez, NEW v. SWA (€8M) or Dwight Gayle, NEW v. SWA (€8M): Gayle scored 11.45 points in his last start, and that would be sufficient production for the price if he can replicate that performance. Perez is on a mini-tear with a combined 50 points over his last two outings through three goals on 13 shots. Both strikers have shown flashes of goal scoring upside on occasion this season, and home against Swansea is a spot where we can take a shot on a cheapish Newcastle attacker.
Steve Mounie, HUD v. WHU (€8M): Mounie hit 15.40 points in his last start, and that was without a goal or an assist. He's churning out fantasy points despite Huddersfield's two-game goalless slump, and could be the one to break through in a decent matchup at home against West Ham.
MIDFIELDERS
Cesc Fabregas, CHE v. LEI (€9M): Fabregas has topped 12 points in each of his last 10 starts, and that type of production warrants serious consideration for €9M in a strong matchup at home against Leicester.
Matt Ritchie, NEW v. SWA (€7M): Somewhat surprisingly, Ritchie has yet to score in 21 appearances this season, but he continues to flirt with double-digit fantasy points when he's in the starting lineup. As noted above, this is a good spot to target Newcastle attackers, especially on the cheap.
Bakary Sako, CRY v. BUR (€6M): Sako could benefit from numerous injuries to the Crystal Palace squad as he stands a chance to make his first Premier League start since September. He scored a goal in FA Cup play on Monday, and if he can carry that form over to Saturday he'd be a top value at €6M.
DEFNEDERS
Andreas Christensen, CHE v. LEI (€8M): Christensen may be the cheapest inlet to the Chelsea defense, and with a decent shot at a clean sheet at home against Everton, cheap exposure to the Blues seems logical on this slate.
Ryan Bertrand, WAT v. SOU (€7M): Bertrand has topped 12 fantasy points in each of his last two starts, yet his price remains in the value range. As long as he's starting and sub-€10M, he's worthy of a roster spot, and even at €10M he'd still be in the conversation.
Cedric Soares, WAT v. SOU (€4M): There could be value among the Southampton back line on this slate, as Cedric could return after missing the last four matches with an ankle injury. He's been back in training this week, and if he's in the lineup he's a strong candidate to return at least 2x production.
GOALKEEPER
Fraser Forster, WAT v. SOU (€5M): Forster has watched from the sideline with Alex McCarty starting the last two matches, but there's a chance he returns to the starting lineup Saturday at Watford. With both priced within €1M of each other, it's worth watching for whichever goalkeeper starts given the savings they provide at the position.
