PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Brad Jones, FEY v. SHK ($4,500): Jones has shipped seven goals through his first two Champions League games, granted those came at the hands of attacking juggernauts Manchester City and Napoli. He's kept a clean sheet in two straight domestic appearances, and a home fixture against Shakhtar is arguably Feyenoord's best chance to earn a result in a tough Group F. With Shakhtar being a slight road favorite, Jones is available at a nice discount in a winnable home game.

Jasmin Handanovic, MAR v. LIV ($3,600): Handanovic is faced with keeping a strong Liverpool attack at bay, but he carries some value as the cheapest home goalkeeper in the player pool. He conceded three goals at Sevilla in his last UCL outing but made seven saves to finish with eight fantasy points at near minimum price. Despite playing at home, Maribor are likely to be under siege throughout the match, presenting Handanovic to make value through saves alone.

DEFENDER

Marcelo, RMD v. TOT ($6,000):Marcelo sent in 15 crosses and managed 20 fantasy points in his lone UCL appearance against APOEL, a fresh reminder of how the Brazilian winger can rack up fantasy points with or without goals or assists. He'll give Tottenham's Kieran Trippier or Serge Aurier fits over the course of 90 minutes, and with Real Madrid looking to separate themselves at the top of the Group H standings, Marcelo could be in line for another double-digit performance.

Alex Telles, POR at RBL ($5,200): Telles has a combined 21 crosses and 23 fantasy points through the first two games of UCL group play, and his fantasy value is helped on by the fact that he stands over the majority of set pieces for Porto. In a pivotal Group G match at RB Leipzig, Telles is in a good spot to produce his usual helping of crosses and defensive stats.

Kieran Trippier, TOT at RMD ($4,000): Tottenham's tough matchup at Group H favorite Real Madrid gives us the opportunity to roster Trippier or teammate Serge Aurier ($4,100) at a depressed price. Spurs could be playing from behind for a good portion of this match, and given their ability to send crosses in by the bulk, it wouldn't be a surprise if either reach double-digits with Tottenham chasing the game.

MIDFIELDER

Philippe Coutinho, LIV at MAR ($9,400): Despite playing in Slovenia, Liverpool have been tabbed as the biggest favorite on the slate. Coutinho will be looking to replicate his 20-point effort from his last UCL appearance, and he's in a good spot to do so against minnows NK Maribor. Liverpool have a good chance of advancing out of Group E, but they will need to win games like this in order to do so. Coutinho's share of set pieces dresses up his fantasy appeal, but he's shown many times that he has the ability to put together a big score through open play contributions too.

Gonzalo Castro, BVB at APO ($4,100): Castro takes set pieces on one of the biggest favorites on the slate and, while his role is more of a defensive one for Dortmund, his price puts him in consideration. He assisted on Dortmund's lone goal and finished with 13 points against Real Madrid, and one would think that if he can do that against the reigning Champions League winners he's fully capable of matching that at APOEL.

Ghayas Zahid, APO v. BVB ($3,300): Zahid took four of APOEL's five corners against Tottenham and hit double digits with 10 points at minimum price. Borussia Dortmund are big favorites on the road, and while they should get the job done, Zahid will be forced to contribute if APOEL want to keep up. At $3,300 he won't kill a lineup if he only manages to score five or six points, but he becomes very valuable if he can get to double digits again.

FORWARD

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, BVB at APO ($9,200): Aubameyang can't stop scoring goals, tickling the twine nine times across his last six appearances. He's been tabbed by the oddsmakers as the player most likely to score on this slate, and a fixture against APOEL gives Aubameyang and Dortmund a good chance to get back on track in Champions League play.

Falcao, MCO v. BSK ($8,600): Falcao comes in fresh after being rested Friday following international duty. He's tearing up Ligue 1 with 12 goals in seven games, but he has yet to open up his Champions League account this season. He's a goal-dependent play, but that's not a bad thing considering he has better goal-scoring odds than the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus. He brings tournament-winning upside with the ability to score multiple goals whenever he's on the field.

Steven Berghuis, FEY v. SHK ($5,800): Berghuis takes the majority of set pieces for Feyenoord, making him a valuable asset to deploy in the second forward slot. With Feyenoord desperate to earn their first point in Group F, a home game against Shakhtar is arguably their best opportunity to get a result in a group that includes Manchester City and Napoli. Berghuis sent in 10 crosses in Dutch Eredivisie play over the weekend and hit eight fantasy points against Napoli in his last UCL appearance, putting him in play on Tuesday in a better matchup.
