No longer fighting in Denver
Sadykhov's fight scheduled against Marquel Mederos for UFC Denver on July 13 has been canceled, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The lightweight matchup already already exhibited an opponent change for Sadykhov, as he was originally supposed to take on Chris Duncan. Now, the fight will altogether be scrapped from the Denver fight night and Sadykhov will continue to search for his first match of 2024.

New opponent in Denver
Sadykhov will instead fight MarQuel Mederos at UFC Denver on Jul. 13, with Chris Duncan withdrawing from the scheduled match, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old lightweight will still get his scheduled fight in Denver, though the arrangements will change a bit as he instead takes on the rookie UFC fighter Mederos. Sadykhov holds a 2-0-1 record in the UFC, the recent of which being a tie against Slava Borshchev back in November of 2023.

Booked for UFC Denver
Sadykhov will take on Chris Duncan at UFC Denver on July 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Sadykhov is riding a two-fight winning streak since joining the company. He has Round 3 victory via doctor stoppage over Evan Elder and a Round 2 win over Terrance McKinney via submission. He will look to carry that momentum into his bout with Sadykhov, who is 2-1 in the UFC and coming off his first loss.

Fights to UFC 295 draw
Sadykhov and Slava Borshchev fought to a majority draw (28-29, 28-28, 28-28) at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
It's a result Sadykhov and his team aren't going to be happy with, but one which was entirely deserved. This was a tale of two fights. Sadykhov showed very little in the first and third rounds, although he did land three takedowns in the final frame. In between, he blasted Borshchev to the tune of a 10-8 score in Round 2. He had Slava in all sorts of trouble and should have earned the stoppage, but Nazim was foolishly content to hop on top of his damaged opponent instead of trying to finish him on the feet. That allowed Borshchev to recover and eventually earn the draw in Round 3. The early returns on Sadykhov's UFC run are positive, as he's 2-0-1 in three bouts with the company, but this felt like a missed opportunity. On the bright side, both men will walk away with a $50,000 bonus after this bout was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Will fight Borshchev
Sadykhov will fight Viacheslav Borschev at UFC 295 on Nov. 11, Marcel Dorff reports.
ANALYSIS
Sadykhov will enter this bout with some hype after getting two straight victories to open his UFC career. His most recent win was against Terrance McKinney via submission. Borshev will not be an easy match, however, as he looked very promising in his last bout against Hayisaer Maheshate.
