Needs new opponent
MiddleweightUFC
July 23, 2024
Ferreira will not fight Roman Kopylov at UFC Vegas 96, according to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com.
ANALYSIS
Kopylov withdrew from UFC Vegas 96 because of an abdominal injury, an appendix problem he underwent surgery for recently. Currently, the UFC has yet to name a replacement opponent for Ferreira, whose 2024 includes two first-round knockouts.
Fight set for August

Ferreira will fight Roman Kopylov at UFC Vegas 96 on August 24, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Ferreira is now set for his second fight of the summer after knocking out Dustin Stoltzfus earlier in June. The Brazilian middleweight currently sports a 4-1 record in the UFC and takes on Kopylov, who is 1-1 in 2024 though he's also coming off a June win.
Scores another first-round KO
MiddleweightUFC
June 8, 2024
Ferreira defeated Dustin Stoltzfus via KO (elbow) at 4:51 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
On a card with multiple impressive finishes, this one takes the cake. Ferreira wasn't doing all that well when this fight was contested at a fairly normal pace, but once things turned into an all-out brawl late, he excelled. The finish was a wild spinning elbow which smashed Stoltzfus in the face and forced referee Jason Herzog to step in. Brunno's power is ridiculous, but it's fair to wonder how his cardio will hold up in the later rounds. We have yet to find out, as each of his first four UFC bouts (3-1) have ended via first-round knockout. This particular one would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, one of four awarded on the evening.
Facing Stoltzfus in June
MiddleweightUFC
April 4, 2024
Ferreira will face Dustin Stoltzfus in a middleweight contest at the UFC event scheduled for June 8, per Combat Sports Today.
ANALYSIS
Ferreira will get back into the Octagon for the first time since a first round knockout victory over Phil Hawes in January. The victory over Hawes was a nice bounceback for the five-foot-10 Brazilian following his knockout loss at the hands of Nursulton Ruziboev last July. Stoltzfus is also coming off a victory, taking out Punahele Soriano via submission in December.
Destroys Phil Hawes
MiddleweightUFC
January 13, 2024
Ferreira defeated Phil Hawes via KO (punches) at 4:55 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a massive rebound performance from Ferreira on the heels of his 77-second knockout loss to Nursulton Ruziboev last July. This was a perfect matchup for Brunno, as he has legitimate fight-ending power, and Hawes can't eat a punch. It was nice to see the Brazilian land a takedown in addition to the damaging blows that put Phil away. Clearly not getting paid by the hour, each of Brunno's first three UFC bouts has ended via first-round knockout. He's 2-1 in that span. He'll also walk away with a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus after his latest victory.
