Trocoli lost to Mansur Abdul-Malik via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:09 of Round 1 at UFC 323 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Entering as a +900 underdog and a stoppage loser in each of his first two UFC fights, Trocoli was there to fill a role, and he played that role to perfection. He was blitzed by Abdul-Malik the second the opening bell rang and eventually tapped out to a standing guillotine choke a little over a minute in. Trocoli didn't even attempt to fight the choke, either, instead tapping immediately. Without a professional win of any kind in more than four years, the 35-year-old Brazilian is a near-lock to be handed his walking papers in the near future.

MiddleweightUFC
September 17, 2025
Trocoli will take on Mansur Abdul-Malik in a middleweight bout at UFC 323 in Las Vegas on Dec. 6, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Trocoli was initially slated to take on Abdul-Malik in February at UFC Seattle, but he withdrew from the fight for undisclosed reasons. He'll get another shot at the Pittsburgh-born middleweight, who is off to a much better start in the UFC, sitting at 2-0-1. Trocoli, meanwhile, has lost his first two bouts in the promotion and is in desperate need of a victory.
Falls out of UFC Seattle

January 26, 2025
Trocoli has withdrawn from his scheduled matchup against Mansur Abdul-Malik at UFC Seattle on Feb. 22, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
No specific reason was provided for Trocoli's withdrawal, as the middleweight fighter had been looking to bounce back from a quick loss to Tresean Gore last November. Contender Series alumni Nick Klein will step up to face Abdul-Malik in Trocoli's stead.

Trocoli is scheduled to Mansur Abdul-Malik in a middleweight fight at UFC Seattle on Feb. 22, per Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
ANALYSIS
Ideally for Trocoli, 2025 is a much better year for one of 2024's more disappointing middleweights. He suffered a TKO loss to Sharaputin Magomedov and submitted to Tresean Gore.

November 9, 2024
Trocoli lost to Tresean Gore via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:23 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was the expected result given the fact Trocoli entered as a +145 underdog, but the fact he was only able to last 83 seconds against an opponent that had not fought in more than two years is a terrible sign. Trocoli pushed forward for a single-leg takedown attempts and left his neck exposed in the process. He was tapping out moments later. The Brazilian has now suffered back-to-back stoppage defeats in a span of four-plus months to begin his time with the company. He may not get a third chance.

August 20, 2024
Trocoli is scheduled to compete against Tresean Gore in a middleweight fight at UFC Vegas 100 on Nov. 9, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
After participating in a late-notice fight, Trocoli will receive another opportunity to compete. Up next for him is Gore, whose multiple withdrawals have prevented him from winning a fight since 2022.
