Tournament Preview

For the second year in a row the Hero Indian Open will be contested at DLF Golf & Country Club in New Delhi. Last year Shiv Chawrasia won the event on the course that Gary Player designed and also bears his name. The extremely challenging course seems to favor accuracy and ball striking from the small sample of course history, and only seven golfers finished under par at last year's event. The course is undulating with blind tee and approach shots, with water on many holes. Precision and course management will be a must this week.

DraftKings Picks (with odds)

Emiliano Grillo, $9,900 - (16/1)

Grillo will be making his first start at the Hero Indian Open, but he has the skills to succeed here. He is ranked 24th in greens in regulation on the PGA Tour and 33rd in driving accuracy. He has made every cut this season and finished T8 at The Honda Classic last time out. Grillo is an excellent ball striker and figures to adjust to this European Tour event nicely.

Scott Jamieson, $8,900 - (33/1)

Jamieson was T3 last year at DLF G&CC, and one of the few players to shoot under par. He has made his last four cuts and finished solo 7th at Tshwane Open last week. Jamieson has proven he has the game to contend at this event, and his stats this year only further the case to consider him this week: he is hitting over 71 percent of greens in regulation this season and is ranked third on Tour in putts per green.

Gregory Havret, $7,200 - (80/1)

Havret returns to DLF, where he finished T34 in 2017. He is playing well, having made the cut in three out of his last four events while finishing T4 at Qatar Masters two weeks ago. Havret is a good ball striker, hitting over 65 percent of fairways this year while averaging almost 69 percent greens in regulation. His experience here should help him have a successful week.

Adilson Da Silva, $7,200 - (90/1)

Da Silva has only made half his cuts this season, but he comes to New Delhi with momentum following a T11 at the Tshwane Open last week. He also has the ideal game to compete at DLF G&CC: Da Silva ranks first in driving accuracy and 17th in greens in regulation on Tour this season. He has shown his skills translate well to this course, finishing solo 21st last year. Expect good things again this week.
