Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Mallory appeared in 12 games as a rookie last season, and the 2023 fifth-round draft pick out of Miami caught 18 of 26 targets for 207 yards. No Colts tight end had more than 368 yards last season, but four had at least 147, and that was without Jelani Woods, who missed the entire season due to a hamstring injury. All of those tight ends remain on the roster heading into 2024, so Mallory will have to jostle for playing time in a deep position group without a clear top dog. If healthy, the 6-foot-7 Woods figures to be the top red-zone option over the 6-foot-4 Mallory, who has yet to score a touchdown in the NFL and watched Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Andrew Ogletree combine for six scores in 2023. Slated to make season debut
Mallory is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Mallory has yet to play this season. With Jelani Woods (toe) on injured reserve, snaps are available at tight end in Indianapolis. However, Mallory remains behind Kylen Granson, Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree on the depth chart.

How often does Will Mallory run a route when on the field for a pass play?

This Week's Opposing Pass Defense
How does the Jaguars pass defense compare to other NFL teams this season?
The bars represents the team's percentile rank (based on QB Rating Against). The longer the bar, the better their pass defense is. The team and position group ratings only include players that are currently on the roster and not on injured reserve. The list of players in the table only includes defenders with at least 3 attempts against them.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Colts already had one of the more crowded tight end rooms in the NFL, but they still took Mallory in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. The Miami (Fla.) product is a different type of tight end than most of the other options in Indianapolis; he's on the smaller side (6-4, 239) in terms of frame but he was a solid producer in college with 14 career touchdowns and 115 receptions. Mallory also turned in a solid combine (4.54 40, 36-inch vertical). It's unclear how exactly the Colts will use him because he won't help much as a blocker, but perhaps Mallory could earn reps as a big slot option.
