2025 Fantasy Outlook
Watt has been among the league's most dominant linebackers throughout his career, and he reached a three-year agreement with Pittsburgh in July with a $41 million annual salary that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Watt hasn't missed a regular-season game since 2023, and he logged 61 tackles (40 solo), including 11.5 sacks, along with four pass defenses, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 2025. Although his sack numbers declined, he still led the team in the category while also ranking 10th in the NFL, and he should maintain plenty of upside this year. Read Past Outlooks
Cleared to play against Baltimore
Watt (lung) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday night's AFC North clash against the Ravens, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran pass rusher was able to log a full practice Friday and will return from a three-game absence due to a partially collapsed lung that required a procedure to repair. Watt's return is crucial for a Steelers defense that will have its hands full containing the lethal duo of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, as the two teams battle for the AFC North division title and the No. 4 seed that comes with it. Watt played at least 80 percent of defensive snaps in 11 of 13 regular-season games, but he could have his snap count limited given the nature of the injury he overcame to play Sunday, which would result in Nick Herbig and Jack Sawyer being used more heavily in the rotation with Watt and Alex Highsmith.

Watt played in every regular-season game last year for the first time since 2019. He put together one of the most productive seasons of his career, tallying 68 tackles (48 solo), including 19 sacks, along with four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, an interception, a touchdown and eight pass defenses. Watt missed the team's wild-card matchup against Buffalo due to a knee injury but participated in OTAs this spring and should be ready for the start of training camp. If he can stay healthy for a second consecutive year in 2024, he should remain among the league's top defenders.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Ready for regular-season finale
Watt, who's missed the last three games due to a punctured lung, is expected to play in Sunday night's regular-season finale against the Ravens, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Watt said Friday he was excited to play in the high-stakes matchup, one that will determine the winner of the AFC North and whether the Steelers make the playoffs altogether. The standout edge rusher was able to participate fully in Friday's practice -- the first time since his injury he's been able to do so -- and doesn't carry an injury designation on the team's final injury report.
