2025 Fantasy Outlook
A sophomore spike wasn't in the cards for the 24-year-old out of Clemson, who did little with his opportunities last season while Tyler Higbee recovered from a torn ACL. Allen's 6-39-0 line over 15 games did little to impress fantasy managers. Higbee should be fully healthy for the 2025 campaign, and, alongside Colby Parkinson, the Rams invested a second-round pick on Terrance Ferguson. Allen is more likely to compete for a roster spot than playing time in 2025 and shouldn't be a factor for fantasy. Read Past Outlooks
Sees role deteriorate
Allen secured his only target for no gain during Sunday's 27-20 victory against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Tyler Higbee played despite suffering a hip injury on Thursday and easily paced the Rams' tight-end group in yards and targets. Colby Parkinson and Allen were each on the field for around 30 percent of the Rams' snaps on offense (which marked Allen's lowest usage of the season) and Parkinson made the most of his limited time on the field, making two catches for 17 yards. Given Allen's eroding snap share, he and Parkinson may be closer to being 2A and 2B on the depth chart, roles that have limited fantasy appeal on a Rams passing attack that goes primarily through Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

Allen was drafted in the fifth round by the Rams in 2023 and proceeded to spend his rookie season backing up Tyler Higbee. Allen caught 10 of 11 targets for 95 yards and one touchdown in 15 appearances. Higbee is expected to miss a significant chunk of 2024 after tearing his ACL in the playoffs, and the Rams signed Colby Parkinson to start while Higbee’s sidelined. Allen’s expected to remain in a backup role barring an injury to Parkinson, and the second-year tight end out of Clemson is in danger of slipping another rung down the depth chart if Higbee’s able to make it back in 2024.
