Hufanga signed a three-year deal with the Broncos this offseason after spending the first four years of his career in San Francisco. Hufanga's Broncos debut was impressive to say the least, as the veteran safety already looks like one of the best free-agent signings the organization made this offseason. The 25-year-old was an every-down player in Week 1 and was consistently making plays all over the field. Hufanga's forced fumble early in the second quarter was quickly recovered by fellow safety Brandon Jones, ending a Titans drive that was already in scoring range. Hufanga, who led Denver in tackles Sunday, will look to carry this momentum into a Week 2 matchup against the Colts.

Personally trained by legendary safety Troy Polamalu, Hufanga boasts a similar combination of physical play with a nose for the football. Head coach Kyle Shanahan expects his starting safety to return to the field sometime during training camp, putting Hufanga in position to be an impact IDP player for the 2024 season.
