2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hufanga signed a three-year deal with the Broncos this offseason after spending the first four years of his career in San Francisco. The veteran safety appeared in just seven games in 2024 due to knee, ankle and wrist injuries. Prior to last season, Hufanga was ascending as one of the league's top performers at the safety position, and he'll look to get back to that level of play in his new locale. The 25-year-old has caught the eye of Denver's coaching staff for his intensity and strong communication alongside fellow safety Brandon Jones. Read Past Outlooks
Leads Denver in tackles
Hufanga recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) and one forced fumble in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Hufanga's Broncos debut was impressive to say the least, as the veteran safety already looks like one of the best free-agent signings the organization made this offseason. The 25-year-old was an every-down player in Week 1 and was consistently making plays all over the field. Hufanga's forced fumble early in the second quarter was quickly recovered by fellow safety Brandon Jones, ending a Titans drive that was already in scoring range. Hufanga, who led Denver in tackles Sunday, will look to carry this momentum into a Week 2 matchup against the Colts.

Hufanga continued his ascension as one of the top safeties in the league in 2023 by recording 52 tackles and three interceptions across 10 games before suffering a torn ACL in Week 11. Personally trained by legendary safety Troy Polamalu, Hufanga boasts a similar combination of physical play with a nose for the football. Head coach Kyle Shanahan expects his starting safety to return to the field sometime during training camp, putting Hufanga in position to be an impact IDP player for the 2024 season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Standing out in Broncos' minicamp
Hufanga, who signed with the Broncos as a free agent this offseason, has made a strong impression during the team's current minicamp, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hufanga was coveted by the Broncos for his "high-intensity, high-impact" style of play, but the fifth-year pro has flashed an equally impressive trait, that being his communication. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has been afforded more options in how he lines up his coverages thanks to Hufanga's seamless fit alongside fellow safety Brandon Jones, particularly in red-zone work.
