Michael Hoecht

Hoecht was moved from defensive end to outside linebacker in the final third of last season, and his production spiked considerably as a result. He closed his final seven games with 34 tackles (21 solo), 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble, and with Leonard Floyd not returning, Hoecht has been promoted to a starting role ahead of 2023. Byron Young, Nick Hampton and Ochaun Mathis were added in the draft to aid the pass rush, but none of the trio should pose a threat to Hoecht's playing time in the short term.
