                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Rousseau was entering something of a prove-it year in 2024, not because he hadn't produced when called upon in the past, but because he was likely to be relied upon more consistently due to the turnover along Buffalo's defensive line. That came to fruition as he logged a career-high 703 defensive snaps, with his next closest mark being just 558. That increased volume was the most significant reason his box score production improved, but it was enough to convince the Bills to give him a lucrative four-year extension, potentially worth $80 million and $54 million in guarantees. While that signifies Rousseau's importance to the team, it is worth noting that Buffalo added some significant depth to its defensive line this offseason, most notably Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunobi. Given those additions, betting on Rousseau to completely replicate his 2024 season would be unwise. Nevertheless, roughly 40 tackles with at least five sacks is a very safe floor and that will keep him fantasy relevant. Read Past Outlooks

                                    Cleared for takeoff against Jets
Rousseau (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jets.
				ANALYSIS
Rousseau practiced without limitations Friday after a pair of limited sessions, helping him get the green light to suit up Sunday against Buffalo's green-clad AFC East rivals. Buffalo's 2021 first-round pick is looking for his first sack of the season after tying his career high with 8.0 during the 2024 regular season.

How do Greg Rousseau's measurables compare to other defensive ends?

This section compares his draft workout metrics with players at the same position. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that metric and it would be considered average.

Through his first three seasons as a pro, Rousseau has put up a total of 129 tackles and 17 sacks, including 42 tackles and 5.0 sacks in 2023. With the Bills facing so much turnover on both sides of the ball ahead of the coming campaign, perhaps this will be the year the 2021 first-rounder puts forth his breakout effort. A.J. Epenesa has already proven capable of helping Rousseau with the pass rush on the other side of the line, but everyone could gain if Von Miller, who's missed significant time the past two seasons, can consistently spark the team's pass rush.
