Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Mitchell missed the first half of the 2024 season while completing his recovery from a knee injury, and once he did join the Ravens' backfield, there was little work for him behind workhorse Derrick Henry. Mitchell didn't get a carry until Week 17, and he wasn't used on offense at all during Baltimore's playoff run. He did show flashes of his big-play potential as a kick returner and receiver however, and should the 31-year-old Henry begin to break down in 2025, Mitchell might be better positioned than Justice Hill or Rasheen Ali to step into the lead role. RANKS
First rushing TD of season
Mitchell turned two carries into 19 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches (on three targets) for 12 yards during the Ravens' 32-14 loss to the Bengals on Thursday. He also logged 91 return yards on three kickoffs.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell saw the field for just eight snaps on offense, but he made the most of his limited opportunities with four touches, including an 18-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. It was his first touchdown of the season and first score since Week 10 of the 2023 campaign. Mitchell is still firmly entrenched as the Ravens' RB3 behind Derrick Henry and Rasheen Ali, but Mitchell should still see consistent playing time on special teams as a returner on kickoffs.

2023
Few players' 2023 seasons were as anguishing to witness as Mitchell's, because the feel-good story of the undersized, undrafted speed demon who rose to improbable stardom gave way to the story of Mitchell's gruesome, season-ending knee injury. Although reported as a mere ACL tear, Mitchell's injury looked much worse than that and may ultimately be revealed to have entailed additional damage. The timing of the injury (Dec. 17) presents him with a challenge to be ready for Week 1, and even if that happens he'll just be a change-of-pace runner behind offseason addition Derrick Henry.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Larger role expected Thursday
Mitchell's likely to see a bump in touches Thursday against the Bengals, as Justice Hill has been ruled out due to a neck injury.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell handled a season-high eight touches in Week 11 against the Browns, when Hill was sidelined by a toe injury. Hill returned in Week 12 against the Jets and Mitchell's usage dipped down to three touches. With Hill sidelined again Thursday, Mitchell's set to work as the top change-of-pace option behind Derrick Henry. Mitchell could make the most of his Thanksgiving Day opportunities against a Bengals defense that has been the most generous in the league to running backs.
