2025 Fantasy Outlook
Slye will be on his sixth NFL team since entering the league in 2019, having signed a one-year, $1.295 million contract with the Titans this offseason. He played all 17 games for the Commanders in 2022 and 2023 and then the Patriots in 2024, but with subpar results, converting 79-83 percent of field-goal attempts each season. Slye has career rates of 81.7 percent for field goals and 89.6 percent for PATs, and the modest contract he signed in March all but confirms he'll have to fight for his job this summer, competing with a rookie and/or another veteran. Catches on with Tennessee
Slye agreed to a contract with the Titans on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The well-traveled Slye will catch on with an eighth different organization since going undrafted out of Virginia Tech in 2018. After being cut by the Jaguars last spring, Slye quickly caught on with New England on a one-year deal and emerged as the victor over Chad Ryland in the battle for kicking duties during training camp and the preseason. Slye proceeded to play in all 17 of New England's games in 2024, converting 26 of 33 field-goal attempts and 25 of 26 extra-point tries. The 28-year-old currently is the only kicker on the Titans roster, but the team will almost certainly add some competition before training camp.

Slye is known for his strong leg but hasn't been great on long kicks in the NFL, going 20 of 32 from 50-plus yards and making just 82.3 percent of his field-goal attempts overall through five seasons. After spending the past two years in Washington, he signed with Jacksonville in March to compete with Riley Patterson, only to be released less than two months later when the Jags drafted Cam Little. While he isn't a top kicker by any means, Slye has enough of a track record that he should find another chance to compete for a job before training camp.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could win starting job with Pats
Slye will compete in training camp with second-year kicker Chad Ryland for the starting job with the Patriots, Paul Perillo of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Slye spent the last two-plus seasons with Washington and had some success, completing 84.8 percent of his field-goal attempts including eight of 12 from 50 yards or longer. After signing a one-year contract with the Jaguars in March, however, he was cut loose when Jacksonville used a sixth-round pick in the 2024 Draft on Cam Little. Slye will now battle a 2023 fourth-round pick in Ryland, but the younger kicker is on shaky ground after a very inconsistent rookie campaign.
