Ward played in all 17 games for the Giants last season and started 11 of them, finishing with career-best marks of 43 tackles, four pass defenses and two forced fumbles while also notching three sacks. Though it was his first year in New York, it was his third campaign in defensive coordinator Wink Martindale's system, where he's proven to be a nice fit. It's no surprise, then, that the Giants re-signed Ward in the offseason. He's not a star but will be a part of the team's pass-rush rotation behind Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari.
A second-round pick by the Raiders in 2016, Ward has also played for the Colts and Ravens in the past couple years. He's been limited to a rotational role and is likely to work similarly in Jacksonville.
Ward may have an easy path to snaps in 2016 and could even win a starting position on the interior of the defensive line. However, that role is not conducive to fantasy production, relegating Ward to fantasy-irrelevance in 2016.
