2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Giants traded three picks to move up to select Dart 25th overall in this year’s draft. He'll likely get time to develop behind veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, although a training camp competition isn't entirely out of the question. Dart completed 69.3 percent of his passes at Ole Miss last season and led the FBS with 10.8 YPA. It was the third straight year in which his completion percentage, YPA and passer rating all improved from the previous season, and also his third straight year with at least 389 rushing yards. At 6-foot-2, 224 pounds, Dart moves well for his size but is sometimes too eager to scramble, and he may not be fast enough for his college rushing production to translate to the pros (he didn't run a 40-yard dash). He has a quick release with solid velocity, but the Ole Miss offense didn't always require full-field reads, and scouts said he often struggled when forced off his initial read. The biggest issue, though, might be his lack of an elite skill or trait. Nevertheless, the Giants hope a rookie apprenticeship will help the 22-year-old become their franchise QB. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Nabbed by Giants at 25
The Giants selected Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 25th overall.
ANALYSIS
The Giants traded back into the first round from their 34th selection, working with Houston at the 25th spot to make Dart the team's second selection of the first round. Quarterback remained a need for the Giants following the third-overall selection of edge defender Abdul Carter, and in theory the acquisition of Dart addresses that concern. Dart (6-foot-2, 223 pounds) was a very successful starter at Mississippi and logged some quality off-the-bench starts for USC as a true freshman before that, and now the Giants will hope he can provide an upgrade over the veteran duo of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Dart offers more rushing ability than most quarterbacks and showed the ability to make some good throws in college, but Dart probably needs to do a better job of executing a play design through its conclusion -- in college he probably dropped his eyes and looked to run a little too easily. If Dart can harness his mobility and accuracy in a more refined form of himself then he could prove to be worth this selection.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Third in line for reps Wednesday
Dart was No. 3 in the pecking order for reps at the Giants' OTA session Wednesday behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie first-round pick out of Ole Miss is understandably going to have to work his way up the pecking order, especially with two accomplished veterans, including a one-time No. 1 overall pick in Winston, ahead of him on the depth chart. Dart didn't have a chance to get any work in with Malik Nabers during Wednesday's 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, as the star receiver sat out due to a toe injury.
