Rodgers moves on from suiting up for 15 regular-season games as the Super Bowl champion Eagles' top reserve cornerback and now is positioned as a likely starter for Minnesota. If any defensive coordinator can develop Rodgers into a plus starter after having spent the first five years of his career as a depth contributor, it will be the Vikings' Brian Flores, but projecting Rodgers' production in a full-time role is no easy task, considering that he's never yet handled 500 defensive snaps in a single season. ANALYSIS
Rodgers wasn't listed on the Vikings' injury report Wednesday. Mid-week additions to the injury report are rarely a good sign, but perhaps Rodgers will be able to get in a full session Friday. Rodgers started at cornerback in Week 1 and played all 67 defensive snaps against the Bears. With Jeff Okudah (concussion) also dealing with an injury, the Vikings' cornerback depth would be tested against Atlanta if neither can play Sunday night.

Rodgrs looked primed for a starting cornerback role following Indianapolis' offseason trade of Stephon Gilmore to Dallas, but was suspended for at least the 2023 season for violating the NFL's policy on gambling. Rodgers had primarily served a kick returner and special teams player, but saw a larger role in the secondary in 2022 and looked poised to take over as a starter. His career is now in question as it's not clear if he'll have the same opportunity if he's cleared to return to the field in 2024.
