2025 Fantasy Outlook
Selected in the fifth round last year out of South Dakota State, Davis' rookie year was mostly quiet but finished strong. At 6-feet, 218 pounds Davis is almost exactly average as an athlete (4.57-second 40), yet he's much faster than fellow Jet and 2024 draft pick Braelon Allen, who began last season as the Jets' designated RB2 behind Breece Hall. Davis played just five snaps on offense going into the Jets' Week 12 bye, so for Davis to play 94 snaps in the last six games marked significant ground gained. Indeed, when Hall sat out Week 14 against Miami the Jets almost evenly split the snap count between Allen (35) and Davis (33). Davis has three-down ability and even flashed some pass-catching ability as a rookie, so there's no obvious reason why he can't be a starter in the NFL. Davis runs with real power and should endear himself to new coach Aaron Glenn, who wants to oversee a robust, physical run game as the foundation of the Jets offense. Davis is someone to keep a close eye on in what could be a wide-open competition for snaps between Hall, Allen and Davis, though Hall remains the heavy favorite to lead the Jets backfield in 2025. RANKS
Scores two total TDs in rookie year
Davis finished his rookie season with 30 carries for 174 yards and a touchdown, as well as nine catches for 75 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. He also returned nine kickoffs for 232 yards.
ANALYSIS
Davis had just five touches on offense through the Week 12 bye, but the rookie fifth-round pick was more involved down the stretch while showing promising efficiency on the ground. With Breece Hall likely to reprise the lead role in 2025, Davis and fellow 2024 draft pick Braelon Allen will find it difficult to carve out enough touches to be meaningful fantasy contributors, barring a change to the status quo in the Jets' backfield.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
A workhorse for FCS power South Dakota State, Davis has the size and power to potentially be an effective short-yardage option in the NFL. Taken in the fifth round in 2024 by the Jets, he can run through tackles but also has the balance to survive traffic in the hole if he doesn't get clean blocking. A lack of elusiveness will invite a lot of contact though, and he didn't show standout receiving or pass protection skills in college. Davis will compete with Israel Abanikanda and fellow 2024 draftee Braelon Allen for touches behind Breece Hall.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to retain elevated role
Davis is in line for a prominent role in Week 15 against the Jaguars, as coach Jeff Ulbrich said Wednesday that Breece Hall is "struggling a bit" with the knee injury that sidelined the starting running back in Week 14 against Miami, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Davis capitalized on Hall's absence against the Dolphins, working in a timeshare with Braelon Allen. While Davis and Allen each got 16 combined carries and targets, Davis scored the only touchdown between the two running backs on a 17-yard run in the second quarter. If Hall sits out Week 15, Davis and Allen would be poised for significant usage against a weak Jaguars defense.
