2024 Fantasy Outlook
A workhorse for FCS power South Dakota State, Davis has the size and power to potentially be an effective short-yardage option in the NFL. Taken in the fifth round in 2024 by the Jets, he can run through tackles but also has the balance to survive traffic in the hole if he doesn't get clean blocking. A lack of elusiveness will invite a lot of contact though, and he didn't show standout receiving or pass protection skills in college. Davis will compete with Israel Abanikanda and fellow 2024 draftee Braelon Allen for touches behind Breece Hall. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Career-long 12-yard run
Davis rushed once for 12 yards and returned three kickoffs for 69 yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Davis has played almost exclusively on special teams in his rookie season, but he got a carry on the final play of this lopsided loss and turned it into the longest offensive play of his young career. The 2024 fifth-round draft pick out of South Dakota State remains behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen on the Jets' backfield depth chart.

ANALYSIS
Along with Davis, Xavier Gipson, Tarik Cohen, Hamze El-Zayat and Brandon Codrington also took back kicks. Davis appears to be behind fellow rookie running back Braelon Allen in the pecking order after starter Breece Hall, so special teams contributions could be the key to the fifth-round draft pick out of South Dakota State cementing a spot on the 53-man roster ahead of Cohen, Israel Abanikanda and Xazavian Valladay.
