2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jarrett signed with Chicago after being released by the Falcons this offseason. The 32-year-old veteran played all 17 games in 2024, producing 53 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, and 12 quarterback hits. Though his sack numbers remain low, he still commands double teams and disrupts opposing run games. Jarrett adds leadership and interior toughness to a revamped Bears defensive line. He's best suited for IDP leagues that reward tackles from DTs and projects as a high-floor DL3 or depth option. Read Past Outlooks
Upgrades to full practice
Jarrett (knee) practiced in full Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Jarrett was limited in practice Wednesday, but practicing in full Thursday puts him on track to return from a three-game absence and suit up Sunday on the road against Baltimore, barring any setbacks. With Jarrett back in the lineup, both Chris Williams and Shemar Turner figure to have their snap counts on defense reduced. Turner did not suit up for Chicago's first two regular-season games, when Jarrett was fully healthy.

Jarrett missed three games over his first eight NFL seasons but suffered a torn ACL in Week 8 of the 2023 campaign and was placed on season-ending IR. Despite being considered one of the best defensive tackles in football, he's never recorded more than 70 tackles or eight sacks in a season, and his last forced fumble came in 2019. The 31-year-old likely will face restrictions even if he's medically cleared for training camp, but he still should be a key piece of the Falcons defense if he's healthy during the regular season, even with rookie second-round pick Ruke Orhorhoro joining the mix. Matthew Judon's presence should also create more 1-on-1 looks for Jarrett in 2024.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Called for controversial penalty
Field Yates of ESPN described the roughing the passer call against Jarrett in Sunday's 21-15 loss to Tampa Bay as the worst such penalty call Yates has ever seen.
ANALYSIS
Some believe that no player in NFL history has benefited from more controversial calls than Tom Brady, and Jarrett was victimized on the latest such call. A seemingly routine sack drew the flag from referee Jerome Boger, turning what would have been fourth down for Tampa Bay with three minutes left into a first down. The Buccaneers proceeded to pick up another first down to run out the clock rather than giving the Falcons an opportunity to stage a game-winning drive.
