2024 Fantasy Outlook
Despite the Chargers' top two WRs missing large chunks of the season and first-rounder Quentin Johnston struggling mightily as a rookie, Davis hardly factored in as a pass catcher in 2023, recording just 141 offensive snaps and 15 receptions for 66 yards. The team did utilize the fourth-rounder out of TCU at times as a jet-motion specialist (14 carries, 101 yards), but it was hardly a ringing endorsement when the likes of Alex Erickson, Keelan Doss and Jalen Guyton all saw significantly more playing time throughout the latter stages of the campaign. It's hard to envision that changing in 2024 after the team brought in Ladd McConkey, Brenden Rice and DJ Chark to compete for significant playing time. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
First TD of season
Davis lost three yards on his only carry and also caught two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown in the 34-27 win over the Broncos on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Davis' first touchdown of the season came on a blown assignment as the speedy receiver took advantage of a defender cheating too far up on a simple checkdown route, and the receiver immediately exploded down the sideline for a relatively easy 19-yard touchdown reception. The second-year wideout is effectively an end-around gadget player, as he's played 10 or fewer offensive snaps in six of the past eight games.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Chargers, in desperate need to find some speed in their receiving core, selected Davis in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The 5-8 product from TCU ran a blistering 4.36 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, but his slight frame (165 pounds) and lack of elite production (just 531 receiving yards in his best collegiate season) are a legitimate cause for concern. Expect Davis to compete with the veteran Jalen Guyton for speed related packages as neither profiles as an every-down target.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be WR3 in Week 2
Davis may serve as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston for Sunday's game against Carolina after Joshua Palmer was listed as questionable due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Palmer opened the week with two limited practices, but he was downgraded to a DNP on Friday, which doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday. Davis didn't have a target in Week 1 against the Raiders, but he did rush for nine yards on two carries, and the 2023 fourth-round pick could be thrust into an extended role in the Chargers' offense should Palmer be sidelined.
