Monday Night Football Betting Picks and Predictions: Chiefs vs. Commanders

Overall, it was a very MEH slate of games for Week 8. Can't say I expected much else as the matchups were brutal. There were a lot of one-sided outcomes. A ton of overs and favorites cashed though.

National Tight Ends Day was pretty successful though, as founding father, George Kittle got himself into the end zone. While it was a lot of ancillary TE's that scored, the position saw a handful of tuddies.

We have one more game to cap off the week, another contest that may end up as another lop-sided affair.

Kansas City is a double-digit favorite at home against the Washington Commanders sans Jayden Daniels. I'm focusing on the holiday of TE, despite the day officially having passed. Let's see what Travis Kelce has in store for us.

Travis Kelce Props:

Travis Kelce may not be the same player he was a few years ago, but the dude is still pretty solid. He's got the best QB in the league as his running mate, so you'd think he could still have some nice moments on the field.

KC is facing a Commanders defense that's been incredibly average to say the least. They are nowhere near the level they were a season ago. Specifically against TE's, they may rank pretty well in limiting catches, yards, and even TDs, but numbers can definitely lie. If you look at some of the better guys at the position they have seen, it's a different story.

Tucker Kraft cooked them for 6/124/1. Kyle Pitts went 5/70/1. Jake Ferguson had 7/29/2, which is a very Fergie line. Kelce getting in the end zone against this defense at home on MNF on National Tight Ends "Day" is a very strong bet. Plus he has six RZ targets already (9th most). With Rashee Rice back, there's a lot more eyeballs off Kelce. He's getting in tonight. And he's getting more than 3 catches.

Pick: Kelce TD -110 (FD)

Pick: Kelce O3.5 catches -136 (FD)
