It was a terrible week for the staff, myself included, as we lost both our unanimous picks and went 5-10 on the majority ones. In fact, Pianowski's 7-8 mark actually helped him gain ground on the field.

This week, we all like the Packers and Giants, and both Jeff and I have the Eagles as our best bets. Pianowski and Stopa are going head to head with theirs - Mark likes the Chargers while Scott likes the Steelers.

Unanimous/Majority Picks

We have two unanimous picks this week, the Packers and Giants. We went 0-2 last week to bring our record to 3-7 on the year (last week I omitted a win on the Seahawks in Week 3). We went 5-10 on on majority picks in Week 4 (three or more writers) to go 31-31-1 for the year.

Erickson I'm pretty chalk-heavy this week - I'll leave it to you whether that's good or bad. I don't know. I just think the Saints are hot garbage defensively, at least against the pass, and the Eagles are starting to figure it out. I also really like the over in the PIT-SD game - I expected that to be 50-plus. Least confident picks are the Bucs and Bengals.
PianowskiI can't stand the slate, though I had no problem with the last two games.
LissI feel bad taking Stopa's money on the Giants demolition of the Bills in their own building. He can afford it, but knowing how delusional he was about their potential, I'm pretty sure the loss hit him hard. I think the Eagles, who are starting to figure things out offensively, will smoke the Saints in Philly. I also like the Bengals and Giants a lot.
StopaI've picked the Bills every week. Is it heart over head? Maybe. But last week was their worst game of the year by a lot. I'll be surprised to not see a bounce back... San Diego has a massive edge at QB and a small one on defense. I don't get them only laying three... I like the Seattle money line. The Bengals obviously won't go undefeated. Seattle needs it more.
Del DonMy two clear favorite bets of the week are the Giants and Bengals. That Cincy line seems suspiciously low (Seattle is tied for an NFL-low five offensive touchdowns this season, whereas the Bengals have averaged four TDs per game), and I expect the Giants to have a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter for the fifth straight game this year. The next three I like best are Philadelphia, Kansas City and Washington.
