QUARTERBACK
Matt Ryan, ATL vs. CIN ($8,100): Ryan is an extremely safe cash game play and has as much upside as any quarterback on Sunday's slate. He's scored 31.68 and 40.16 fantasy points over his last two games, both of which were home. The Bengals have given up the seventh most fantasy points this season to opposing quarterbacks making this a plus matchup for Ryan. This is the game with the highest over/under Sunday (53.5) suggesting more offensive fireworks in Atlanta this week. Andy Dalton ($7,400) will be an under owned GPP option with upside especially if A.J. Green plays as expected.
RUNNING BACK
Chris Carson, SEA at ARI ($6,400): Carson appears to have taken over as the workhorse for Seattle, finishing Sunday's game with 34 touches for 134 yards and a touchdown good for 19.4 fantasy points. The Cardinals have been abysmal against the running backs, allowing 38.3 fantasy points to the position after three games. Rashaad Penny looks like an afterthought at this point, and it would take a Carson injury or extreme case of fumble-itis for him to get back into the picture.
Giovani Bernard, CIN at ATL ($6,400): Bernard managed 17.1 fantasy points last week with Joe Mixon out despite being on the road against a tough Carolina defense. It should be easier sledding this week in an injury-riddled Atlanta defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points (35.4) to opposing running backs. Gio was the only running back to log a carry last week, and his nine targets in the passing game shows he'll be used as a true three-down back.
WIDE RECEIVER
Mike Williams, SD vs. SF ($6,300): Williams becomes a no-brainer if Keenan Allen (knee) misses this game due to injury. Williams is averaging 14.1 fantasy points per game and has at least 9.7 fantasy points in each of his first three games this season. Allen is averaging just under nine targets per game, and so Williams would stand to gain a few more targets against a defense ranked 27th against the pass.
Calvin Ridley, ATL vs. CIN ($6,300): This price seems like it should be at least $1,000 higher after Ridley torched the Saints for 37 fantasy points Sunday. Ridley also had 14.7 fantasy points Week 2, a score that easily pays for his price. Again, this game has the highest over/under of any game Sunday (53.5) suggesting the skilled players on both side of the ball are all in play. Cincinnati is giving up 270 passing yards per game, the ninth-worst mark in football.
TIGHT END
Trey Burton, CHI vs. TB ($5,600): The players involved in the passing attack for the Bears are all in play this week, as Tampa has to go on the road in a short week with the 31st ranked pass defense. They've given up the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends through three games, and the loss of Anthony Miller should make the Bears' receiving tree more narrow. Don't be surprised if the Bears run a trick play or two involving Burton who has the ability to throw the ball or take in a short shovel pass near the goal line.
FLEX
DeVante Parker, MIA at NE ($5,500): Parker is not even close for consideration in cash games but does make an interesting GPP play. While this sounds crazy, think about the weeks off which both Calvin Ridley and Jordy Nelson are coming. Parker should eventually take over a starting role opposite Kenny Stills and likely has more upside given his size and speed. The Dolphins will likely be playing from behind in what could be a high scoring game, suggesting Ryan Tannehill will have to throw the ball a lot. Parker will be owned in less than one percent of all GPPs this weekend making him a great contrarian play.
DEFENSE
Chicago Bears Defense vs. TB ($4,300): The Bears have been the best defensive fantasy unit on FanDuel, scoring 13, 14 and 17 fantasy points their first three games. Last week's 13 fantasy points would have been higher had a late pick-six stood, and now it's a good matchup in the Windy City. Tampa Bay has to hit the road after losing Monday night to Pittsburgh, a game where Ryan Fitzpatrick was picked off three times (one for a touchdown) and sacked three times as well.
