2024 Fantasy Outlook
Fifita and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan were arguably the most lethal passing combination in all of college football last season. Fifita threw for 2,869 yards and 25 touchdowns versus just six interceptions as Arizona was one of the most surprising teams in the country. This will be a year of change as the Wildcats join a new-look Big 12 conference, and they welcome in new coach Brent Brennan from San Jose State following Jedd Fisch's departure for Washington. Despite the regime change, Fifita, McMillan and many of the offensive weapons remain in Tucson. The sophomore quarterback wasn't on the preseason fantasy radar last year but certainly made a name for himself heading into 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Solid despite blowout loss
Fifita completed 24 of 33 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 56-12 loss versus UCF. He also had seven rushes for -22 yards.
ANALYSIS
Fifita did his best to turn the tide, but Arizona's defense had no answer for the Knights. The Wildcats' running game was virtually non-existent, totaling an abysmal five yards in the game. Passing lanes won't stay open for long without a rusher to threaten, and it's amazing that Fifita manager a line like this with such a deficiency.
