Reid made the jump to Pitt from FCS Western Carolina along with offensive coordinator Kade Bell prior to the 2024 season, and the duo proved they belonged at the level. Reid racked up a combined 393 rushing yards and three touchdowns while piling on nine catches for 117 yards and a score as a receiver through the first two games, adding a 78-yard punt return TD in the opener to boot. Reid thrived in Pitt's new-look uptempo offense under Bell, finishing out the regular season with 151 carries for 797 yards and four touchdowns as a rusher and another 47 grabs for 564 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver out of the backfield despite missing two games.
