College Football DFS: Night Slate, Week 13

This article is part of our College Football DFS: Night Slate series.

DraftKings and FanDuel have helped us out in the final week of the regular season with identical slates for Saturday evening.

SLATE OVERVIEW

Texas A&M (-6.5) @ LSU O/U: 47

West Virginia (-15.5) @ Kansas O/U: 56

Clemson (-11.5) @ South Carolina O/U: 42.5

Oklahoma State (-4.5) vs. Oklahoma O/U: 49.5

Louisville (-3) vs. Kentucky O/U: 57.5

Memphis (-6) vs. Tulane O/U: 58

Pittsburgh (-12.5) @ Syracuse O/U: 57.5

Notre Dame (-20.5) @ Stanford OU: 53.5

WEATHER

TA&M/LSU - 27% chance of rain, 11 m.p.h. winds, 59 degrees

QUARTERBACK

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh (DK $9,300, FD $10,600) @ Syracuse

Pitt's desire to give Pickett center stage in his last bid for a Heisman spot is the big question here.  They probably don't need a whole lot from Pickett to win this matchup, and they can likely dictate a blowout if they wanted to. There's also merit to them pulling their elites early to rest them for the upcoming ACC Championship. So, it depends on your instincts about the matchup. I'm of the mind that Pickett will campaign to stay in the game as long as possible.

Malik Cunningham, Louisville (DK $8,500, FD $10,800) vs. Kentucky

I admit, I was surprised to see Cunningham as the top target for FanDuel, but I suppose his recent standout play is no longer a secret. He's thrown for almost 2,600 yards this season with a  nifty 18:5 TD/INT ratio, but his natural gift is as a dual-threat. He's rushed the ball 150 times

He's rushed the ball 150 times for 933 yards and has a huge 18 TD total to go along with it. To put that into perspective, he ranks 41st in the country in rushing among ALL players, including running backs.

Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State (DK $7,400, FD $8,200) vs. Oklahoma

Sanders will have a lot to prove in this rivalry game to end all rivalry games. Jaylen Warren is banged up, so Sanders' passing ability will be put to the test Saturday. Fortunately for Sanders, the Sooners rank near the bottom of the FBS in pass defense, allowing almost 260 yards per game to opposing signal-callers. It's essential not to get too cute with passers on this slate, but Sanders' salary is the most reasonable of the three QBs I have endorsed.

RUNNING BACK

Leddie Brown, West Virginia (DK $6,800, FD $9,500) @ Kansas

Brown is a great steal on FanDuel, but like Cunningham, his high ranking in the player pool surprised me on FanDuel (a trend that continues with my next pick as well). As heavy favorites, I expect the Mountaineers to ride their running game to victory. Brown rarely disappoints with a lot of touches and the potential for multiple touchdowns.

Kyren Williams, Notre Dame (DK $8,100, FD $9,700) @ Stanford

Without looking at salaries, I had Williams on my mind to begin the article, and I have to admit I am a little surprised by the wages on both slates. Like Brown, this is a clear-cut case of riding the rusher in a lopsided game, and although both Brown and Williams carry huge salaries, they have an equal chance to meet and even exceed the value to meet those lofty numbers. For two straight weeks, Williams came through for us with a combo of touchdowns and total offensive yards on the ground and through the air.

Kobe Pace, Clemson (DK $4,600, FD $7,500) @ South Carolina

The Forrest Gump 'box of chocolates' quote comes to mind when it comes to the Tigers.  With the Tigers, you never know what you're going to get, which is especially true of their running game. While the entire corps has been excellent all season, there's a vast pricing discrepancy between Pace and Will Shipley that isn't entirely justified, especially when you consider what Pace did against Wake Forest last week. Pace outdid Shipley in every category, and while I don't doubt a nice night for both players, Pace's salary is too good to pass up.

Also consider: Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma (DK $6,400, FD $7,100)

WIDE RECEIVER

Jordan Addison (DK $9,200, FD $9,700) and Jared Wayne (DK $5,000, FD $6,700), Pittsburgh

This endorsement goes back to the quandary with Pickett. Will Pitt air it out often? Typically, one would say no, but the Heisman variable for Pickett is real snd he's the team's best hope for Heisman since Dan Marino. Still, Pitt has a chance to wrestle the ACC title from Clemson this season, and that's a big deal. Will they pull their stars? Hard to say, but if you're running with Pickett, stacking one of these receivers is a great way to go.

Tay Martin, Oklahoma State (DK $7,200, FD $8,200) vs. Oklahoma

Stacking Martin with Sanders is an excellent way to attack Oklahoma's pass defense, which is lacking on the edge and in the secondary. Martin had a massive day against Texas Tech after a down week against TCU, but this is a week where the cowboy's passing game will be the hallmark of their offense, with Jaylen Brown potentially limited.

Sean Dykes, Memphis (DK $4,900, FD $7,800)

Javon Ivory may miss this week's game, which should open up a few more opportunities for the Tigers' second receiver. Calvin Austin is way too overpriced compared to what he's been producing, and Dykes and Eddie Lewis (DK $3,900, FD $6,100) have been siphoning production from Austin with some success.

Beaux Collins, Clemson (DK $5,000, FD $6,800) @ South Carolina

With too many concerns about his back, Justyn Ross may have seen his last game in a Clemson uniform. There's something to this Uiagalelei-to-Collins connection, which formed back in Calfornia when they attended the same high school. His synergy with Collins has done wonders for his passing acumen, which is still a big concern for the Tigers moving forward. Still, the Tigers have managed to scurry through this season with only three losses, and there's some definite improvement through the air.
