Jackson is out for the Jayhawks' 2024-25 season because of a knee injury, according to their press release Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
While working out Tuesday, Jackson tore his patellar tendon, the tear confirmed that night. In a few days, he will undergo surgery to repair his tendon. While a full recovery is expected and Jackson can engage in non-contact activities several months down the line, his full recovery process is expected to take approximately one year, meaning he must sit out the Jayhawks' 2024-25 season. At the very least, he has a redshirt available, and they have other guards options to rely upon during his time off.
