Feast Week has come to a close, but the memories live on. For me, I'd have to say the highlight was my 3-0 day here on Monday when UCSD, Arkansas State and Michigan all rolled to covers. Side note: how good is Michigan? How good is the Big 10 in general? Goodness, that conference is stacked with the infusion of new coaching blood.

This weekend, the schedule takes a breath for a bit between the holiday tournament season and conference season. This can be a tricky time to handicap, but the RotoWire faithful will be here to navigate through the snowy December weeks!

William & Mary Tribe vs Old Dominion Monarchs

W&M is a team that's been very profitable for me early on, and they've done most of their work away from home. Today, they return home after rolling through the holiday tournament in Jacksonville to take on fellow Virginia school, ODU. The Tribe has thoroughly handled teams outside the KenPom top-200 while ODU's only wins have come against such teams. At No. 142, W&M represents the type of challenge that ODU has struggled with so far this year. The Tribe's pace and depth will be too much.

South Alabama Jaguars at UTSA Roadrunners

At 6-1, South Alabama is off to a great start and come into this game off their only loss to KenPom No. 101 UAB, an eight-point road defeat. The Jags have two road wins under their belt and have yet to lose to any teams outside of the top-200. At No. 220, UTSA is the type of team the Jags should handle. On the other side, S. Alabama is the best team the Roadrunners have faced all year, and I like the value on the short road favorite here.

College Basketball Best Bet: South Alabama -1.5 (@ BetMGM)

Belmont Bruins at Charleston Cougars

The undefeated Bruins roll into Charleston, fresh off their tournament win in Fort Myers that culminated in a convincing victory over KenPom No. 156 Toledo. Like clockwork, Belmont is one of the best mid-major teams in the country, with a solid mix of experience and talented youth. I keep waiting for Charleston to flourish under Chris Mack, but it hasn't happened yet. It might be too early to judge this particular team, as their schedule has been pretty tough. The Cougars have suffered a nine-point home loss to No. 126 Drake and a neutral court 11-point loss to No. 75 Yale. Charleston has also been bitten by the injury but early on, and all of those factors add up to an easy choice for another short road favorite.

College Basketball Best Bet: Belmont -1.5 (universal)
