Sixers Close Out Nets In Philly
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the visiting Brooklyn Nets, 96-84, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at Wells Fargo Center on Monday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start and was tied at 25, after one quarter. The Nets came out strong in the second and limited the Sixers to just 19 points, while they rallied to a five-point edge by halftime. The 76ers got back on track in the third and locked down defensively to outscore the visitors, 24-14, and claim a five-point advantage heading into the final frame. The hosts stayed in control through the fourth and held on to claim a 2-0 series lead.

Tyrese Maxey led the way for the 76ers with 33 points, three rebounds and a block, in 40 minutes. Joel Embiid totaled 20 points, 19 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and a steal, while Tobias Harris finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and a steal. The Sixers shot 45 percent from the field, including 11-of-35 from long range.

Meanwhile, Cameron Johnson led the Nets with 28 points, four rebounds, two steals and a block, in 41 minutes. Mikal Bridges followed up with 21 points, five rebounds, seven assists and a steal, while Spencer Dinwiddie added 12 points, four rebounds, six assists and a steal. The Nets shot 37.5 percent from the field, including 13-of-42 from deep.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday in Brooklyn.

Kings Defeat Warriors in Game 2, 114-106
The Sacramento Kings defeated the visiting Golden State Warriors, 114-106, in Game 2 of the Western Conference First-Round Playoffs at Golden 1 Center on Monday.

While there were only five ties and four lead changes in this game, it wasn't decided until the final minutes. Sacramento led 102-101 with three minutes remaining and went on a 10-2 run to take control of this game. They also had a 10-0 run in the third quarter to grab a game-high 14-point lead and never relinquished the lead after that. The Kings out-rebounded the Warriors, 58-46, while outscoring them in the paint, 54-40. Sacramento also recorded 22 assists to 14 turnovers, while Golden State had 18 assists and 20 turnovers.

The Warriors (0-2) were led by Stephen Curry, collecting 28 points, three rebounds and six assists. Andrew Wigging amassed 22 points and five rebounds. Klay Thompson tallied 21 points, five rebounds and three assists. Draymond Green was ejected early in the fourth quarter but finished with eight points, four rebounds and five assists. Gary Payton II led the bench with 13 points, six rebounds and two steals.

The Kings (2-0) were led by Domantas Sabonis, totaling 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists. De'Aaron Fox finished with 24 points, five rebounds, nine assists and four steals. Kevin Huerter generated 15 points, five rebounds and two blocks, while Harrison Barnes had 13 points, six rebounds and three steals. Malik Monk led the bench with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Game 3 will be in Golden State on Thursday. This is the first time the Warriors have trailed 0-2 in a series since 2007.
