Magic Take Over Late Against Timberwolves
The Orlando Magic defeated the host Minnesota Timberwolves, 108-106, at Target Center on Friday evening.

The Timberwolves jumped out to a great start and led, 38-26, after one quarter. The Magic took the momentum in the second and managed to trim it down to a five-point game at the break. Both sides brought a solid effort in the third and after a couple of lead changes, the Timberwolves closed the quarter on an, 11-2, run to take an eight-point lead into the final frame. The Magic bounced right back and managed to claim a one-point edge with seven minutes left in the game. They did not lose focus the rest of the way and held on to close out their second straight win.

Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 23 points, six assists and a steal, in 35 minutes. Franz Wagner followed up with 19 points, four rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block, while Wendell Carter totaled 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards finished with 22 points, five assists and a steal, while Rudy Gobert totaled 22 points, 16 rebounds, two assists and two blocks to lead the way for the Timberwolves. Karl-Anthony Towns added 19 points, three rebounds and two blocks.

The Timberwolves (34-15) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Rockets on Sunday. The Magic (26-23) take on the Pistons in Detroit on Sunday.
