Nets Edge Rockets, 106-104
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Houston Rockets, 106-104, at Barclays Center on Saturday evening.

The game began in stark contrast to how it would conclude, with the Nets (17-28) seemingly on their way to a rout by establishing a 35-15 lead through one. Brooklyn still held a 20-point advantage over the Rockets (21-24) at halftime, and Houston was able to only put a two-point dent in its deficit during the third quarter. However, the visitors got all the way to within one with two seconds remaining before a Spencer Dinwiddie free throw sealed the narrow victory.

Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green and Cam Whitmore co-led the Rockets with 19 points apiece while pulling down five, 10 and nine rebounds, respectively. Alperen Sengun generated a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double that included two assists. Fred VanVleet furnished 13 points, eight assists, four rebounds and one steal.

Cam Thomas paced the Nets with 37 points, adding three rebounds, three assists and one steal. Dorian Finney-Smith and Mikal Bridges posted 19 points each while pulling down seven and five rebounds, respectively. Nic Claxton generated a 10-point, 13-rebound double-double that included four assists, one steal and one block. Dinwiddie matched Claxton's scoring and also dished out nine assists among other contributions.

The Rockets return home to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, while the Nets host the Utah Jazz on Monday night as well.
