Knicks Topple Heat, 111-105
The New York Knicks defeated the Miami Heat, 111-105, on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal-round playoff series. The series is tied 1-1.

The Heat (1-1) came into the night as sizable underdogs with Jimmy Butler (ankle) sitting out and both Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson active for the Knicks (1-1) with their respective ankle injuries, but Miami seemed undeterred during a first half they emerged from with a 54-51 lead. The visitors continued to stay just a step ahead of New York in the third period despite losing Max Strus to an ankle injury of his own, but the hosts' 18-9 run over the final 4:45 finally sealed the hard-fought, series-tying victory for Tom Thibodeau's squad.

Caleb Martin led the Heat with 22 points, adding eight rebounds and one assist. Gabe Vincent posted 21 points, five assists and two rebounds. Strus poured in 17 points before exiting. Bam Adebayo finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, six assists and one block.

Brunson paced the Knicks with 30 points, complementing them five boards, two assists and two steals. Randle generated a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double that included eight assists. RJ Barrett delivered 24 points, three rebounds and three assists. Josh Hart generated a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double that included nine assists and one steal.

The series now shifts to Kaseya Center in South Florida for Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.
