Nuggets Stifle Pacers In Denver
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Indiana Pacers, 134-111, at Ball Arena on Friday evening.

The Nuggets got out to a strong start and led, 37-28, after one quarter. The visitors came out better in the second and managed to trim it to an eight-point game heading into halftime. The Nuggets turned it up again in the third and outscored the visitors, 38-29, to build a 17-point cushion after three quarters. They did not let up in fourth and rallied to the finish to secure their ninth straight win. This marks the sixth consecutive loss for the Pacers.

Aaron Gordon led the Nuggets with 28 points, five rebounds and six assists, in 30 minutes. Jamal Murray totaled 17 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists and two steals, while Michael Porter added 19 points, eight rebounds and a steal. The Nuggets shot 61.4 percent from the field, including 14-of-38 from deep.

Meanwhile, Bennedict Mathurin led the Pacers with 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting, off the bench. Chris Duarte followed up with 18 points and two steals, while Myles Turner added 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. The Pacers shot 44 percent from the field, including 8-of-32 from long range.

The Pacers (23-24) will look to bounce back as they take on the Suns in Phoenix on Saturday. The Nuggets (33-13) play host to the Thunder on Sunday.
