Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Pham was well traveled again during the 2024 campaign. After playing for two teams in both 2022 and 2023, he one-upped himself last season in suiting up for the White Sox, Cardinals and Royals. The production for the veteran outfielder was fairly lacking, with a .710 OPS in Chicago representing the high-water mark out of the three stops. Pham's quality of contact was also down from where we're used to seeing it, although a 42.7 percent hard-hit rate and 90.4 mph average exit velocity were both still well above average. He had a below average sprint speed for the first time in his career in 2024 and it's difficult to see a rebound in that part of his game heading into his age-37 season. Signing with Pittsburgh provides a path to playing time in right field, but Pham is likely to be a volatile fantasy option at this point in his career. Read Past Outlooks

ANALYSIS
Pham is off to a 1-for-8 start at the plate but has added two steals through two games. He'll take a seat in the dugout to begin Saturday's contest while Ji Hwan Bae starts in left field and bats leadoff.

Pham has bounced around between several different organizations since 2021 and is entering his age-36 season, but he showed last year in both Queens and Phoenix that he still has quite a bit left in the tank. The veteran outfielder registered an overall .774 OPS with 16 home runs and 22 stolen bases across 129 regular-season games and produced a .772 OPS with three homers, three doubles and 10 runs scored in 16 postseason games while helping Arizona march all the way to the World Series. Pham probably shouldn't be relied on for another 20-steal campaign in 2024 given his age and fading sprint speed, but his bat-to-ball skills remain intact and he can deliver useful category-spanning fantasy numbers in the right situation.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Might fit in Kansas City
According to Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat, the Royals could have interest in Pham after Vinnie Pasquantino was placed on the injured list due to a fractured thumb.
ANALYSIS
Pham was acquired by St. Louis ahead of the trade deadline, but the organization will turn to 22-year-old Jordan Walker for the final month of the season after designating the veteran outfielder for assignment. Pham posted a mediocre .654 OPS in 23 games after the trade, but he still seems likely to receive some interest from contending clubs.
