Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Helman has an interesting speed-power combo and versatility to play almost every position (he's played all but catcher in the minors), but he may not be more than utility player since he'll turn 29 next season. Helman hit 12 home runs with 14 steals at Triple-A last season with a .212 ISO. He's had a good command of the strike zone during his minor league career as well. He has outstanding speed which could make him an option in center field but likely doesn't have a good enough glove for regular duty in the infield. He'll be an intriguing fantasy option if he gets regular at-bats as he could be a late bloomer, but he'll likely be a long shot to win a utility role this spring. Read Past Outlooks

Enters for injured teammate
Helman entered Tuesday's game in sixth inning as a pinch hitter for Wyatt Langford (side) and finished 0-for-2 in a 4-1 loss to the Twins.
Analysis
Helman, who had started in center field the previous three games while Langford battled a side injury, opened the contest on the bench. Langford attempted to play while Texas still had faint playoff hopes, but the pain became too much, and he was eventually removed from the game. The loss eliminated the Rangers from the postseason, which might prompt the team to shut down Langford for the rest of the season. In that event, Helman could have steady role in the center field over the final five games.
