Tuesday's 15-game MLB slate begins at 6:10 PM Eastern time. As usual, matchups dictate value both on the mound and at the plate. The Twins and Indians offer excellent stacking potential against subpar pitchers while both recommended pitching options are primed to exploit vulnerable offenses.

PITCHER
Dan Straily, MIA at SD ($35): Straily has been one of the few bright spots for the Marlins. He struggled in his first two starts after coming off the DL, but the veteran righty's been razor-sharp in three starts since with three earned runs allowed over 18 innings. He's 2-0 with 16 strikeouts in that span, and Straily gets a golden opportunity to keep the good times rolling against a Padres offense that ranks 28th at 3.70 runs per game and strikes out more than any other team (9.74 whiffs per game).
Luis Castillo, CIN at ARI ($40): Castillo seems to have taken the next step in his development, allowing two or fewer earned runs in each of his past five starts while notching 31 strikeouts in 28.2 innings over that stretch. The slumping Arizona offense is down to 29th in the league at 3.62 runs per game, and Castillo is also primed to pad his strikeout totals against a lineup that whiffs fourth-most in the league (9.60 per game). Owners worried about picking a pitcher at the once hitter-friendly Chase Field also have little to worry about, as the installation of a humidor has neutered that venue -- Chase Field's park factor this season is a mere .91, putting it well in the pitcher-friendly portion of the spectrum.

CATCHER
Tyler Flowers, ATL vs. NYM ($15): Flowers has been phenomenal in a limited sample against left-handed pitching this season, as his wOBA in that split has climbed to .588 over 17 at-bats after Sunday's home run off Chris Sale. Mets starter Steven Matz is no Sale, as right-handed batters produced a .370 wOBA against him last season and have a .338 mark this year. Just make sure Flowers is behind the plate over Kurt Suzuki ($9) before locking him in. Suzuki would make a fine play himself given his .367 season wOBA against lefties.
FIRST BASE
Yonder Alonso, CLE vs. CWS ($17): Alonso usually finds himself batting in the heart of Cleveland's order, and his .380 wOBA against right-handed pitching last season suggests the left-handed hitter has room for improvement on his current .341 mark. That improvement should start to come against White Sox righty Lucas Giolito, who's surrendered a .396 wOBA to the 115 left-handed batters he's faced this season.
SECOND BASE
Brian Dozier, MIN at KC ($14): Dozier produced a .397 wOBA against lefties in 2016 and a .437 mark last season, so you have to figure his current .323 mark is due for some positive correction. That correction for Minnesota's leadoff man could well begin against Royals southpaw Danny Duffy, who has been smacked to the tune of a .405 wOBA by the 216 batters from the right side he's faced this season.
THIRD BASE
Alex Bregman, HOU vs. NYY ($21): Yankees southpaw CC Sabathia has stumbled to an 8.78 ERA over his past three starts. Bregman is likely to make it very difficult for Sabathia to return to form, as the second overall selection in the 2015 draft sports a .369 career wOBA against left-handed pitching. He also benefits from batting second in the explosive Houston lineup.
SHORTSTOP
Marcus Semien, OAK vs. TB ($11): Semien does his best work against lefties like Blake Snell, as his .338 season wOBA in that split is nearly identical to his career .340 mark. While Snell's been lights-out against left-handed batters, his .320 career wOBA allowed to batters from the right side leaves the door open for Semien to do some damage while batting either first or second in the Oakland order.
OUTFIELD
Byron Buxton, MIN at KC ($7): Buxton is going through an atrocious slump, but Duffy's aforementioned struggles against right-handed sluggers make this a decent buy-low opportunity on the 2012 second overall pick. You can get Buxton at the minimum $7 price here, and he produced a respectable .340 wOBA against left-handed pitching just last season.
Michael Brantley, CLE vs. CWS ($27): You won't find a much safer bet for production than Brantley, who sports a .412 season wOBA through 111 at-bats against right-handed pitching and is facing one of the league's most underwhelming starters in Giolito. If you had to pay top dollar for just one slugger in this slate, it's hard to argue with Brantley being that guy.
Denard Span, SEA vs. TEX ($16): Left-handed hitters have abused Rangers righty Austin Bibens-Dirkx to the tune of a .472 wOBA in a small sample this season and a .345 mark for his career. Span batted second in his Mariners debut Monday after coming over in a trade from the Rays, and the left-handed hitting veteran is unlikely to miss this golden opportunity to impress with his new club.
