Malacia (knee) was included in Manchester United's squad for the Europa League.

Malacia continues to work his way back from a knee injury and won't be available for the first weeks of the 2024/25 season, manager Erik ten Hag told the club's official website Friday. "Tyrell is now in a good place," Ten Hag told the press. "But he is not here because I only took players who could play games or be available for team training. He is not that far [off], but he is now in a progress situation. At a relatively short notice, he can again return into team training and then into team performance in games. I think it would be possible [to be available again] in two months," ten Hag said.

Malacia (knee) has attended pre-season training and appears to be fit for the beginning of the season, according to his club.

Malacia (knee) won't be an option for the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday, manager Erik ten Hag told media during Thursday's pre-match press conference.

Malacia (knee) has been suffering with set backs and he continues to work on his return to the pitch. According to manager Erik Ten Hag, "It's going to be difficult for him this season to be available, he will fight. He's back on the pitch, but not in the team and the process had setbacks. He's going forwards really slowly and the season is coming to an end" per Mark Critchley of the Athletic.
