                  Picks up calf problem
Tavares has been diagnosed with a left soleus strain in his calf after experiencing some discomfort in training, Lazio announced.
                  ANALYSIS
Tavares will be sidelined for the upcoming stretch of games and will attempt to return right after the next international break. His deputy, Luca Pellegrini (knee), is a late call for the Juventus clash. If he's not ready, the coach would move Adam Marusic or Elseid Hysaj to the left wing, with Manuel Lazzari likely starting on the right one. Center-back Oliver Provstgaard can also handle the position in a more defensive look.

                  Expected to remain at Lazio
Tavares is expected to remain at Lazio past this season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
                  ANALYSIS
The defender is tabbed to return to Arsenal in the summer, but it seems Lazio will do everything in their power to keep him around. In fact, Lazio are expected to pay Arsenal a fee worth 9 million euros to sign the 25-year-old Portuguese left-back in a loan deal with an obligation to buy. Tavares has been outstanding for Lazio this season, so it makes sense for the Italian club to try to keep him at the club.
