Romo is officially moving to Cruz Azul after leaving Monterrey, the club announced Monday.
ANALYSIS
Romo joins the Cementeros for the second time in his career following a course of two and a half years in the north of the country. For Rayados, Romo recorded five goals and 13 assists in 90 Liga MX appearances while averaging 1.6 tackles per game, playing primarily as a defensive midfielder. However, during his previous period at Cruz Azul he appeared in various roles from center-back to No. 10 and managed to score nine goals and 14 assists over 57 games (55 starts). He should be a strong addition to the competition with Erik Lira, Carlos Rodriguez and Lorenzo Faravelli.
