2025 Fantasy Outlook
Cook was rock solid at the heart of the Bournemouth midfield yet again last season, though he was shifted to right-back for a spell due to a variety of injuries. His one goal and three assists is about what he's produced across nearly a decade and that's not going to change in 2025/26. He's never going to be a top offensive contributor, but he should remain a regular after finishing just 22 minutes short of 3,000 last season. His split role on set pieces keeps him relevant in fantasy, though a lack of shooting caps his upside a decent amount.

Will miss start of season
Cook is out for the start of the 2025/26 season due to a knee injury suffered in last weekend's friendly against Bristol City.
ANALYSIS
Cook will be sidelined to start the next season after injuring his MCL but luckily won't need surgery, pointing to a return within the next couple months. It's a tough start to the season after he went nearly 3,000 minutes in 2024/25 across 36 appearances (32 starts). Fortunately, Bournemouth have decent depth in their midfield assuming everyone is healthy, as Ryan Christie, Tyler Adams and Alex Scott can all start in central midfield.

Late call against Manchester United
Cook (undisclosed) is a late call for Sunday's clash against Manchester United, according to manager Andoni Iraola. "He's been struggling in the past weeks with his ankle, some kind of tendonitis, not chronic but something like this. He's not fully training 100% and we will see, he is the only one that has some issues from the ones that were available."
