2025 Fantasy Outlook
FC Cincinnati sold striker Brandon Vazquez to Monterrey before last season and then brought in Nicolas Gioacchini, Corey Baird and Kevin Kelsy to fill the void. No player stepped up and there was a revolving door at the two striker positions in Pat Noonan's 3-4-1-2 formation. However, Cincinnati showed they weren't messing around, breaking an MLS record for the largest signing in history ($16.2 million) by bringing in Denkey. He will join the team from Cercle Brugge in Belgium after a breakout season in 2023/24, scoring 23 goals in 28 starts. While some players struggle in their first season in MLS, Denkey is in an excellent spot in Cincinnati with a talented group of players around him. He has a ceiling of 20-plus goals in 2025 if Lucho Acosta sticks around.
Scores 16 goals in 2025
Denkey made 30 starts in 33 MLS appearances (including the playoffs) during the 2025 MLS season.
ANALYSIS
Denkey had a stellar first season with Cincinnati, proving to be a solid replacement for Luciano Acosta. He recorded 16 goals and one assist, creating 29 chances in 33 appearances. While successful during the regular season, the forward struggled in the playoffs with only one goal in four appearances. Nevertheless, he will enter his second MLS season in 2026, aiming to remain the team's top goal scorer.
