With Burnley relegated to the Championship, it was unlikely the midfielder was going to go with the club, having drawn interest from several clubs beyond Everton. Assuming the transfer is finalized, McNeil should be in the mix for a regular spot in the starting XI, especially considering he has featured in 107 of his 112 Premier League contests over the previous three years.
