Gets start against Hoffenheim
MWerder Bremen
March 4, 2024
Gross registered one tackle, a clearance and two interceptions in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Hoffenheim.
ANALYSIS
Gross registered his second start in a row Sunday, having notched a combined two clearances, three tackles and seven tackles in the defense to go along with two shots and two chances created in the attack over his 175 minutes of play in those two contests. The midfielder has been handed a backseat role this season, only starting in seven of his 13 appearances while going unused off the bench in a further eight matches this campaign. However, this looks to possibly be making a change after he gained the start in the past two contests. He will hope to finish off the season on a good note, as it has been recently reported that Gross plans to retire at the end of the season, ending a 20-year career that accumulated 496 appearances across six different clubs.
