Scores own goal Sunday
M/DTottenham Hotspur
January 19, 2025
Gray registered an own goal, two tackles (one won), two clearances and one interception in Sunday's 3-2 loss against Everton.
ANALYSIS
Gray was credited with an own goal just before halftime Sunday as an Everton cross deflected off of Gray's body and into the back of the net to give the Toffees a shocking 3-0 lead. It was a rough moment for the 18-year-old who has been thrust into the starting XI out of position with Spurs' injury crisis. He played the full 90 minutes for the seventh consecutive match, something that will likely continue until Cristian Romero (quadriceps) and Micky van de Ven (hamstring) return.

Sevilla are interested in making a move to sign Gray on loan, according to Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte.
ANALYSIS
Sevilla know they need to bolster their depth on the full-back position, and they feel signing Gray on loan would be a move in the right direction. They're happy with what they've gotten out of another Premier League loanee in Valentin Barco, so the Spanish club could attempt to repeat the movement in January.
