Another fight scheduled
Giles is scheduled to compete against Andreas Gustafsson in a catchweight fight at UFC Vegas 107 on Saturday, according to the UFC.
ANALYSIS
Despite being on a three-fight losing streak, Giles will get another chance for a win. Giles will save a scrapped fight between Gustafsson and Jeremiah Wells (undisclosed), with the bout being catchweight, presumably because the replacement was on late notice.

Suffers third straight defeat
Giles lost to Mike Malott via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Edmonton.
ANALYSIS
Giles is going to look back on this fight and be kicking himself. His activity level was way too low in a fight which was clearly there for the taking. Trevin attempted a grand total of 78 total strikes, landing 34 of them. Malott wasn't much better, but he clearly the more effective striker over the final two rounds and that ended up being enough in a bout in which neither man was impressive. Giles has now lost three straight and five of his last seven. The only thing that may save his roster spot is that fact that all five of those defeats came against quality competition (Malott, Carlos Prates, Gabriel Bonfim, Michael Morales, Dricus Du Plessis).

Draws Malott in Edmonton
Giles will take on Mike Malott in a welterweight matchup at UFC Edmonton on November 2, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Giles needs to bounce back in a major way following back-to-back stoppage defeats, most recently falling to a red-hot prospect in Carlos Prates via second-round finish in February. The UFC is doing him no favors with this matchup, as he'll head to enemy territory to face the Canadian-born Malott. Giles concedes a slight striking volume edge to Malott, though he's a bit better defensively. The wrestling edge, at least in terms of takedown volume, leans heavily towards Malott.

Struggles continue in Vegas
Giles lost to Carlos Prates via KO (punch) at 4:03 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Giles' UFC run has been marred by inconsistency. Not just on a fight-by-fight basis, but on a round-by-round basis. Giles was up 10-9 on all three scorecards and was well on his way to winning Round 2 before getting knocked out cold with a left hand from Prates with less than a minute left in the second frame. The biggest concern for Trevin at this point is his sudden lack of durability. He has just three knockout defeats in his pro career, but they've all come in his past six (2-4) fights. Giles' roster spot may very well be on the line his next time out.

Set to fight Prates
Giles is scheduled to face Carlos Prates in a welterweight fight set for the UFC's Feb. 10 event in Las Vegas, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Giles is coming off a swift loss in his most recent fight against Gabriel Bonfim, and he'll now get a chance to bounce back against an opponent making his UFC debut.
